Members of the Richard Pearse Model Aeroplane Club (RPMAC) meet at around 10.00am on Sunday mornings at the flying site which is situated 3.5 kilometres west of the Pleasant Point Dairy on State Highway 8 . The site is visible to the left of the road when driving west.

RPMAC is small and informal, gathering members from throughout South Canterbury. All members are affiliated through the club to the national body, the New Zealand Model Aeronautical Association (NZMAA).

Members are covered by third party insurance when flying from an NZMAA recognised and registered model airstrip.

The club maintains and uses the flying site courtesy of the owners:

Mr and Mrs John Scott of Pleasant Point.
